Gabriel Gonzalez Santome
Research Project Leader Structures
Graduated from Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya with a Master in Industrial Engineering, I started my career on Wind Energy, working in Denmark for Siemens Wind Power in the CoC for Transportation and Logistics. In 2013, I joined Airbus in Manufacturing Engineering to review the industrial costs of the A350 empennage, S19 and wing covers; all intensive in composites, supporting the effort to increase the value of the manufacturing technologies and reduce costs; both on component manufacturing and assembly.
In 2015, I joined Jaguar Land Rover, working at Body Programmes on the launch phase of different Jaguar products. Later on 2017, I joined Research and Technology department; where I have been leading several projects to improve the properties of BIWs, most of them with public funding as APC6 CHAMAELEON, focused on the increase of torsional stiffness, without compromising weight, using new metal, joining and composites technologies.
